A quick update on Work with the Best

Are we an Amazon best-seller??

It's been one week since Work with the Best came out, and honestly, it's been pretty surreal.

We became the #1 New Release in our category on Amazon and the #3 bestseller.

We came close to #1 and #2, but didn't quite get there (yet).

But the thing that's brought me the most joy has nothing to do with rankings.

It's seeing friends, followers, and people who've been following my journey for years buy copies of the book.

Then they text me when their copies arrive. They tell me they've started doing the exercises. They tell me how much they're getting out of it. Some have loved it so much that they've bought copies for their sons, nephews, nieces, and friends.

Over the past year, I've spent a lot of time thinking about what success means to me.

And I've boiled it down to this:

Real success is how many people thank you for yours.

For most of the last five years, my journey has been, candidly, pretty selfish.

I've been trying to figure things out for myself. Accelerate my career. Compress decades into years. Acquire influence, money, status, relationships, and skills. Get into rooms with people I admire and create opportunities that most people never get access to.

And I still want all of those things. I'm nowhere close to where I want to be, and I have enormous ambitions for what comes next.

But something has started to change.

I feel like my cup is getting fuller. And I'm starting to think more about what I can do with what I've learned, rather than just what I can get out of it.

I think it's a fallacy to believe you have to get to the end of the rainbow before you can give back.

You don't have to wait until you've made it to help someone else get there.

I want to give back while I'm still on the journey of getting what I want.

And I think books are one of the best ways to do that.

I've spent the last five years learning how to create opportunities, build relationships with people I admire, and get into rooms that can change the trajectory of my career.

Work with the Best is my attempt to put those lessons into something other people can use. It's my playbook for creating career opportunities, built from five years of figuring things out through experience.

If it helps someone get their first big break, build a relationship that changes their life, or see an opportunity they otherwise would've missed, then it's worth it to me.

So I just wanted to write this email to say thank you.

Thank you for following along over the last few years. Thank you for supporting the book. Thank you for being part of this journey.

It's been a pretty wild ride, and I'm grateful I get to share it with you.

And if you'd like to support the book, I'd love for you to grab a copy for yourself or buy one for a friend who could use it.

It's just $10.

And if someone comes to mind who could benefit from it, send them this email or pass along the link.

I'd love to get this book into the hands of as many people as possible.

Thanks again for being here.
