How to land your (very first) online client

This 14-year-old kid impresses the heck outta me
I have never been so inspired and fired up to write an email to you.
Let me explain…
A couple of weeks ago, I spoke at the Founders School high school.
It’s a cohort of the Alpha School program where high schoolers learn how to build a business. The premise is: Make $1M in gross profit in 4 years or get your tuition fully refunded.
Sick premise, right? (I think this is the future of education).
Anyway. When I spoke at Founders School, all of the kids were in the process of trying to land their first few clients for their business.
Many were cold emailing and cold calling. Cool!
But I thought they could use some of my methods to land clients.
So a couple of days ago, I messaged Henry and told him:

For context: Henry is trying to grow a website redesign business.
He responded. I thought he’d just say, “That’s good!” and move on with his day.
But a few hours later, he messaged me back:

He made the pitch video breaking down Shaan Puri’s website…
And LANDED A CLIENT (!!!)
Here’s the pitch video^
Are you kidding me??
Heck yeah.
Does that not fire you up?
Lessons:
The Public Pitch Method WINS (I write about how to do it more in depth in my new book ‘Work With The Best’). In fact, chapter 14 is a full chapter all about it.
Henry took action IMMEDIATELY - and in a few hours he landed his first client. STOP WAITING. Timelines are arbitrary. “Young” is relative. YOU CAN JUST DO THINGS
Hope hearing Henry’s story fired you up as much as it did for me.
Go take action!
Rooting for you,
Jay
Ps. Here’s a video excerpt of my talk at Founders School. Enjoy! :)
